The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity is leading a multi-sector trade mission to Australia (Sydney & Melbourne) and New Zealand (Auckland) from 15-19 April 2024. Mission participants will include small-medium Illinois companies looking to conduct one-on-one meetings with potential business partners, aiming to establish lasting business relationships in the region.

Australia is a major export market for products made in Illinois, ranking third in 2022. Historically, Illinois has provided transportation equipment, machinery, chemicals, electronic products, processed foods, and agricultural products and equipment to Australia. Today, there are additional opportunities in defence, cybersecurity, medical equipment, and environmental technologies.
