At Foley, Gio leads investment attraction and trade development programs across industries including aerospace, clean tech, life sciences, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, and food and beverage. He works closely with private companies, government agencies, and community leaders to identify creative solutions that maximise growth opportunities, explore fresh ideas, embrace change, and continually adapt strategies to meet the evolving needs of clients and the communities they serve.

Gio holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney, with a focus on neuro and cardiovascular pharmacology and a Master’s in Financial Services from the same institution. Gio also undertook PhD research at the University of Sydney, exploring stroke and preventative measures to protect the brain—work that deepened his understanding of health systems and medical innovation.

Prior to joining Foley, he spent a significant part of his career in the superannuation sector, working with one of the largest pension funds in the world. This experience gave him deep insight into institutional investment, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement at both domestic and global levels.
